Volunteers are the lifeblood of any non-profit organization, and at BFO-Toronto that’s especially true. Last year our volunteers gave over 6,428 hours towards inspiring hope and healing in our community. Below are a few of the ways they’ve helped, and you could potentially contribute.
As a peer-to-peer support group provider, we have a large demand for those who want to help facilitate our support groups and are always recruiting. Facilitators provide peer-to-peer support delivery with compassion and understanding to those who have experienced the recent loss of a loved one.

Our board and committee members help run the various events, strategic decisions, and fundraising activities that build community partners, raise funds for our programs, and represent our organization in the community.
- Golf tournament committee member (e.g., help run the event, fundraise, arrange silent auction partners, etc.)
- Communications committee member (e.g., contribute blog articles, maintain a BFO-Toronto social account, etc.)
- Any role you believe you can contribute to BFO-Toronto’s mission
