Trees of Light 2019 has been rescheduled to December 5, 2019. Please update your calendars.
The 28th Annual Trees of Light Ceremony will be held on Thursday, December 5th in the Toronto City Hall Rotunda located at 100 Queen St. W. at 7:00 PM. We are proud to welcome The Farwell Group, Scotia Wealth Management as our sponsor this year.
We hope you will join us for this special evening. Everyone is welcome and the event is free of charge. The Trees of Light event is a touching and visible way to remember our loved ones, share memories and to come together to support each other. The evening unfolds with music, stories and poems, followed by a tree lighting remembrance ceremony. It is a truly magical night.
Silver and gold doves cover the trees and each is adorned with a name of someone we have lost, making the trees a beautiful and love filled tribute to those in our hearts over the holiday season. Making a donation and placing a name on the trees is both a way to honour our loved ones and to support BFO-Toronto. The Trees of Light raises funds that make it possible for BFO-Toronto to continue to offer our grief support programs and services without charge.
The trees will be on display in the City Hall Rotunda from December 6th until January 5th. If you are unable to attend the lighting event be sure to visit them during this time.
You can order a name tag online (recommended method) by clicking on the Order Now button, connecting you to a convenient and secure online payment option that provides your tax receipt immediately via email. You can also order by mail or in person at the BFO-Toronto office using the order form found below under the How section. Please note that this year you also have an opportunity to become a monthly donor, call the office for more details.
We understand that not everyone can purchase a name tag. If you are unable to purchase a tag please contact Katrina at (416) 440-0290, ext. 102 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements.
We look forward to seeing you on the 5th!
